Il cashmere rigenerato è ottenuto da scarti di produzione e vecchi indumenti, con i quali si è in grado di ottenere nuovi filati per la realizzazione di nuovi prodotti.

Il cashmere così ottenuti risulta di alta qualità, con inferiore impatto ambientale rispetto a quello vergine: un modello produttivo sostenibile, secondo i principi dell’economia circolare.

Da scarti tessili a nuovi tessuti: in collaborazione con il consorzio Re-Verso™, raccolgono e selezionano scarti o vecchi tessuti ottenendo nuovi filati, tramite il processo di cardatura, che mantengono le stesse qualità di quello vergine, risparmiando però acqua, energia elettrica e Co2. Rifò sposa pienamente i principi dell’economia circolare e della slow fashion per una maglieria di alta qualità, 100% Made in Italy.

What is recycled cashmere

Recycled cashmere is obtained from production scraps and old garments from which new yarns are obtained with which to make new products.

Recycled cashmere is obtained by recycling the cashmere fiber, recovering it from old garments.

The material passes through a hand-made sorting where impurities are removed; they are then selected by color, then frayed, which reduces this waste into small pieces through a carding process.

Finally, the recycled fiber is twisted to be strengthened, until it is transformed into a totally new yarn.

It is a sustainable production model, which embraces the principles of the circular economy and fashion and allows for the production of quality cashmere with little impact on the environment.

 

So why choose recycled cashmere?

Because it's a way to help reverse the trend of fast fashion, guaranteeing quality artisan knitwear that is responsible and accessible to all.

Recycled cashmere maintains all the properties of the virgin one, with the advantage of recovering various textile waste and above all of significantly reducing consumption:

  • - 67% water consumption
  • - 68% electricity consumption
  • - 85% carbon dioxide consumption

The affordable price derives from energy saving, which is a cost equivalent to 1/3 of virgin cashmere.

We will send them to the company, where they will be divided by color and material, to then be transformed into regenerated yarns!
